Marlon Beresford has departed Bradford City after failing to agree terms with the club on a contract extension.

The former Burnley and Middlesbrough shot-stopper was brought in as cover by manager Nicky Law as cover for Mark Paston and Alan Combe.

Beresford started five games while on his one-month contract, but is now on the look out for a new side.

With Combe still not fully fit, Law has decided to recall youngster Clint Davies from his loan spell with Halifax Town.

Patson will likely start this weekend's clash against Watford, with the 20-year-old on the bench as back-up.
