Mark Yates' men were knocked out of last term's play-offs for the second straight season, this time by Northampton, while the Brewers were also eliminated at the semi-final stage by Bradford.
The Robins travel to Chesterfield on August 10 and entertain Plymouth seven days later. Their first meeting with the Cobblers is in the east Midlands on October 26.
Cheltenham entertain Exeter on Boxing Day, visit Bristol Rovers on New Year's Day and round off their season by hosting Dagenham on May 3.
