Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is treating the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with the respect he feels it deserves ahead of their game with Oxford.

Yates' men take on the U's in the second round of the competition at Whaddon Road on Tuesday, with the Robins' boss hinting that he will not be fielding a second-string XI for the game.

The npower League Two side reached the Area Quarter Final last season, and Yates is hoping to go even further in this campaign.

He told the club's official website: "We won't make wholesale changes because it is a game that we want to win and we want to keep the momentum going from the last few weeks.

"It's a great opportunity for a lower league footballer to go and play at Wembley.

"We are taking it seriously and we will be looking to put in a good performance and get the win, but Oxford will be doing the same."
