Cheltenham goalkeeper Scott Brown expressed his frustration that the club's fixture list clashes with Champions League games.
The Robins earned a 2-1 win against Oxford on Tuesday, the same night as the first batch of Champions League matches.
The Whaddon Road attendance for the U's clash was in fact higher than the weekend's defeat to Southend, with 286 more people going through the turnstiles.
But Brown told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I don't know why they have to put our games on the same night as Champions League nights.
"It's asking for people not to come and just stay in and watch Real Madrid against Manchester City and I think it needs to be looked at."
