Triple swoop for Valiants

Port Vale have bolstered their midfield options with the signings of Jennison Myrie-Williams, Darren Murphy and Ashley Vincent.

Myrie-Williams, who made six appearances for Vale in a fruitful loan spell from Stevenage last term, and Vincent have penned two-year contracts, while Murphy has agreed a one-year deal. "All three players have committed to join us for the new campaign and that is a huge bonus for us," said Valiants boss Micky Adams on the club's official website. "Jennison impressed during his loan spell last season and I was disappointed at the time that I wasn't able to continue that. Ashley can play either up-front or on the wing so he will provide us with another attacking option, while I believe Darren will help strengthen our midfield. "This is a new start for the club, both on and off the pitch, and I am pleased that all three players have committed their immediate futures to us." Like, Myrie-Williams, Murphy also joins Vale from Stevenage, where he won back-to-back promotions from the Blue Square Bet Premier to League One during his four-year stint at the Lamex Stadium. Vincent started his career with Wolves and moves to Staffordshire on the back of three seasons at Colchester.
