Millwall boss missed out on the signing of Charlton new boy Haynes

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett remains keen to improve his squad during the January transfer window after missing out on the signing of Danny Haynes. Jackett had been keen to bring in Haynes on loan last week, however, the striker opted to join League One leaders Charlton Athletic on an 18-month contract from Barnsley. Haynes' snub has prompted Jackett to turn his attention to other targets and he is optimistic about adding to his options this month. "He was somebody we had considered, there's no doubt about that," Jackett told the News Shopper regarding his interest in Haynes. "People and players make decisions, ultimately it's up to them and, from our point of view, if we can't capture one player, we don't dwell on that and move on quickly to the next one. "We can see now what the market brings, it might even go to the last week of the transfer window. "There hasn't been too much movement yet. We probably need a few of the big clubs to move to be able to pick off them maybe."
