Goalkeeper Scott Brown has credited Mark Yates' transfer policy as one of the major factors in Cheltenham's superb season.
The Robins sit second in League Two after a blistering first half to the campaign, which also featured a foray to the third round of the FA Cup and a memorable day out at Tottenham.
And Brown, who has featured 20 times this term, said Yates' summer recruits have played a big part - although he insisted the whole side deserved praise for the position the Gloucestershire club find themselves in at present.
"The gaffer made some very astute signings in the summer and they've all come into the team and done very well," he said.
"Luke Summerfield and Marlon Pack in midfield have been brilliant and in most games those two boss the midfield but it's not only down to them.
"Alan Bennett and Steve Elliott have been excellent in the middle of defence, and we've not been conceding many goals all season. But all over the pitch everyone has been putting in performances and that shows with where we are in the table."
