Penn hails Robins' team spirit

Russ Penn says "togetherness" of Cheltenham's squad as a major contributory factor to their sensational start to the League Two campaign.

The Robins lie third in the division after 18 matches, having been written off by many as dead-cert relegation candidates during the summer. Penn, who has become a mainstay in the Cheltenham midfield during their ascent to the automatic promotion places, believes squad unity has played a big role in their success. "There's a lot of togetherness around the squad," he told Press Association Sport. "We were underdogs to be up there at the start of the season and we were many people's favourites to go down. "But we've stuck together and there's a buzz about the place now. "The more we keep on winning, the more that's going to improve and it's a great place to be."
