Defender Matt Richards admitted his decision to join Shrewsbury on a two-year deal was a "very easy" one.
The central midfielder, 26, had been training with the Shrews, after leaving Walsall, and turned out for them in a 2-0 friendly win over Wolves.
He told the club's official website: "Once I had been here and trained a few days with the lads I was sold. We have great facilities, great coaches and some great players here. The decision was very easy for me.
"Playing against Wolves helped. I saw we like to pass the ball and get the ball down and that is what my game goes around. I felt comfortable and that I fitted in which was a nice thing."
