Cheltenham defender Harry Hooman is keen to make his mark with the Robins after a disappointing spell at Shrewsbury.
The 20-year-old only made four first-team appearances for the Shrews and ended last season on loan at Blue Square North club Hinckley before being released in the summer.
However, following a string of impressive performances for Cheltenham in pre-season, the centre-half believes he can mount a challenge for a place in the back four after penning a one-year deal at Whaddon Road.
"I definitely have a point to prove and I want to do that this year," Hooman told the Gloucestershire Echo.
"I think I have a good physique and I am good in the air. I talk well for my age and I have good positional sense, but I am here to work as hard as I can and be ready if selected."
