Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates is confident Kaid Mohamed can be a success at the club after signing the striker from AFC Wimbledon.

Skysports.com revealed earlier on Monday that Mohamed was set to join the Robins and he has now agreed a two-year contract at Whaddon Road.

The 26-year-old striker only joined the Dons in March from Bath City and scored five times in 10 appearances, including a hat-trick in the play-off semi-final win over Fleetwood.

Yates told the club's official website: "I'm pleased to bring Kaid to the club because he's a player we've had our eye on for a while.

"He's got all the attributes to succeed here at the football club. He has pace, two good feet, can score goals and is something different to what we already have.

"He can use both feet well and likes to take players on. He'll be an exciting player to watch."

Mohamed is Cheltenham's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Russell Penn, Marlon Pack and Ethan Moore.
