Danny Andrew has agreed a new one-year contract extension at Cheltenham Town ahead of next season.

The 20-year-old left-back still had 12 months remaining on his current deal with Town but manager Mark Yates has moved to keep hold of his services until the end of the 2012/13 campaign. Yates told Town's official website: "I'm delighted Danny has agreed a new contract and I think it's a good move for all concerned. "Danny played 46 games last season and this is his reward for that. He is still only 20 but will be far better for the experience of his first full season in the League. He has a great attitude and wants to keep learning." Andrew, having enjoyed a loan spell with the Robins, signed on at Whaddon Road last summer on the back of his release by Peterborough. He said: "The extension gives me some stability with my career and I'm delighted to have signed for another season with Cheltenham. My contract was set to expire at the end of the coming season but I'm really happy that I'm going to be here beyond that."
