Barnet boss Paul Fairclough has made a double loan swoop by bringing in Anthony Pulis and Sam Deering.

Pulis, 26, joins from Southampton and fellow midfielder Deering, 19, arrives from Oxford United. Both players have penned deals until the end of the season. "They give the squad more depth and hopefully there are more to come," said Fairclough. "They are both in good condition, they have played plenty of football this season and I am looking forward to them making an impact." Pulis signed for Saints in the summer of 2008 but picked up an injury soon after joining and has yet to make a first-team appearance. He enjoyed a spell on loan with Lincoln last season and has just completed a temporary stint at Barnet's relegation rivals Stockport. Pulis said: "I'm looking to get some games under my belt and do my best to help steer the club out of the relegation zone." Deering has made nine substitute appearances for the U's this term and also enjoyed a brief loan spell with Blue Square Premier outfit Newport County. Pulis and Deering are likely to make their debuts in the home clash with Torquay on Saturday.
