Mark Yates was pleased with the contributions from Ashley Eastham and Phil Walsh in Cheltenham's 1-1 draw at Northampton.
Centre-back Eastham, who played on loan for the Robins under Yates last season, started the League Two encounter at Sixfields on Saturday while striker Walsh came on as a 77th-minute substitute.
"I was pleased to be able to use both of our new loan signings," said Yates.
"I thought Ashley got better and better as the game wore on and we know what he's about. He and Steve Elliott were excellent because they had a lot of the play and the lad Jacobs (Michael) out wide is a decent player.
"Phil went on with Shaun Jeffers towards the end and they both made a decent contribution towards the game."
Meanwhile, the Robins will now take on Oxford at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday January 29 after original opponents Torquay progressed into the fourth round of the FA Cup over the weekend. The trip to Plainmoor will now take place on Tuesday February 22.
