On-loan winger Robin Shroot is hoping to play his part in helping to guide Cheltenham Town to a top-seven finish this season.

The 22-year-old, on loan from Premier League club Birmingham, has scored once in 11 appearances since joining the Robins in the summer.

The League Two side are just two points adrift of the play-off places and the highly-rated Shroot believes that consistency is the aim of the game for Cheltenham to continue their good form.

"We are aiming to get into the top seven this season, but it is all about getting that level of consistency at the moment, which is what we learned quite quickly early on this season," Shroot told skysports.com.

"I think that we have managed to do that in recent weeks and hopefully we can keep that going.

"I think that if we play the type of football that we are capable of then we are more than capable of competing with the best teams in this division, but we need to do that week in, week out or we will come unstuck."
