Cheltenham Town have completed the signing of Keith Lowe on an initial one-year contract.

The defender, recently released by Hereford, enjoyed two stints with the Robins during the 2006/07 season in League One.

His arrival is a boost to Cheltenham boss Mark Yates, who has also handed professional contracts to former scholars Theo Lewis, Kyle Haynes, Jake Lee and Josh Emery.

"I'm delighted to have Keith with us," said Yates, whose squad begin pre-season training on Thursday.

"I've known him for a number of years because he first came to Burnley on loan when I was there as coach with Steve Cotterill.

"The four young lads have also signed their contracts and we are all looking forward to working with them and to helping them develop as players.

"The squad is now starting to take shape and I'm hopeful that we might have one or two more players in before Thursday."
