Striker reveals there were offers from other clubs

Julian Alsop says he was not interested in joining another club, insisting he is happy to be at Cheltenham Town. The veteran striker returned for a second spell at Whaddon Road last summer and had been on month-to-month terms with the League Two strugglers. However, he recently secured a deal with the Robins until the end of the season after receiving offers to leave Mark Yates' side. And, despite Cheltenham's struggles this season, the 36-year-old was never looking to clinch a move away during the January transfer window. He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I had a few offers from League Two clubs, but I wanted to stay here and the gaffer has been as good as gold and signed me to the end of the season. "I wasn't interested in anything else as my thing now is playing for Cheltenham Town and keeping Cheltenham Town in the League - that's all I am interested in. "I give my all for the club every time I play and I want to make sure we stay up." Meanwhile, Shane Duff is now back in training with the first-team squad and is hoping to feature in a reserve game within the next fortnight.
