Experienced midfielder John Finnigan has had his contract with Cheltenham cancelled by mutual consent.
Finnigan has spent the past seven seasons at Whaddon Road after moving from Lincoln and racked up 27 goals in 252 appearances.
The 33-year-old twice helped the Robins secure promotion to League One but is now on the lookout for a new club.
He told the club's official website: "I've had a good seven years here and really enjoyed it but the time has come to move on.
"The team is changing and the manager [Martin Allen] is putting his own stamp on things."
