Seagulls hoping to make duo's loan deals permanent in the window

Brighton are hoping to make the loan signings of attacker Joe Anyinsah and full-back Matt Richards permanent in the transfer window. Anyinsah, on loan from Preston, saw his three-month stay at the Withdean end in mid-December but is said to be keen on a permanent switch. The 24-year-old made 15 appearances in all competitions during his spell at the club, scoring two goals. Manager Micky Adams admitted to speaking to the player regarding the move and is now awaiting Anyinsah's response. "He has expressed a desire to come and join us," he told the club's official website. "We've had an initial chat with Preston and we'll see what develops." Meanwhile, Richards, also 24, has spent the first half of the season at the club making 32 appearances but returned to Ipswich after his loan expired last weekend. But Adams confessed that although the left-back wants to return to Brighton on a permanent basis the player's wages could act as a stumbling block. "We've had an initial talk with Matt's agent, but personal terms may be a problem," he added. "Ipswich had been supplementing his wages to a degree, so we may have to look elsewhere for a left-back." Another loan signing looking to extend his stay at the club is Charlton forward Stuart Fleetwood. The former Forest Green striker is set to stay for a third month after this weekend's League One fixture against Walsall. The 22-year-old is yet to open his account for the Seagulls but has started just three league games since he signed from Charlton.
