Cheltenham Town drew 1-1 with West Country rivals Bristol Rovers on Wednesday.Cheltenham Town came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with West Country rivals Bristol Rovers at Whaddon Road.
The Pirates took the lead just four minutes in when Jamie Forrester smashed a fierce right footed strike past Cheltenham goalkeeper Shane Higgs for 1-0.
The goal would have been an emotional moment for Forrester following the passing of his father over Christmas.
The Robins, however, earned a point when Gavin Caines (pictured) headed home a free kick from the right eight minutes before the break for 1-1.
The result in Gloucestershire still keeps both sides within touching distance of the play-off places in League Two.
The other match on Wednesday evening saw Lincolnshire rivals Lincoln City and Grimsby Town having to settle for a goalless draw at Sincil Bank.
The Imps had most of the play throughout the contest, but Grimsby nearly snatched the points in the dying stages.
New signing Martin Gritton's goal was disallowed by referee Phil Crossley for a push by a Grimsby player.
The result leaves both clubs well within reach of the play-off places in the table as well.
