Brentford boss Mark Warburton hailed his players' character as they put a difficult week behind them to beat Bournemouth 3-1.
It was announced on Tuesday that Warburton will leave Griffin Park in the summer but he said it served as extra motivation for his charges as they got their promotion challenge back on track with an impressive performance.
And despite heading to pastures new at the end of the season, the Bees manager insisted that the result shows that he's fully focused on the job in hand.
He said: "It was a fantastic reaction from a very talented squad of players. The character and commitment, and all these words that you use time and time again were all there. They were outstanding.
"It would be disrespectful not to stay focused. I've worked with many of this squad of players for almost four years and they deserve nothing less than that.
"I'm sure there's 12 or 14 clubs looking at the play-offs and the Premier League, and we've got 14 games now to be best prepared and see where we can get."
The Bees took all three points in a pulsating encounter after goals from Jonathan Douglas, Alex Pritchard and Chris Long beat off a stern test by fellow high-flyers Bournemouth.
Douglas put the hosts ahead with a close-range effort after nine minutes and, although Marc Pugh equalised on the half-hour mark, Brentford went in ahead at half-time after a Pritchard free-kick squirmed beneath Cherries goalkeeper Artur Boruc.
The visitors created several chances to equalise in the second half, as Brentford's goal came under fire until the closing minutes when Long sealed the win with a close-range finish.
And Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe felt his side had more than enough opportunities to get the equaliser before Long's goal, but admitted he was disappointed by the way the game ended.
"The players responded very well in the second half and we knocked on the door and created enough chances to win two games," said Howe.
"We didn't get that elusive equaliser and ultimately the only criticism I had from the game - apart from the goals - was the way we chased the game in the final 10 minutes.
"We were chasing the game because time was running out and we were against the clock. The decision-making with 10 minutes to go wasn't particularly good."
Howe also sympathised with goalkeeper Boruc, who made a crucial mistake to let in Pritchard's free-kick shortly before half-time.
"It was an unfortunate one," said Howe. "The boy (Pritchard) didn't hit it cleanly and it's moved in the air - that's the life of a goalkeeper, you're going to make mistakes."
