Thomas targets Cherries impact

Wes Thomas is confident that he can transfer his goalscoring form to Bournemouth following his return on loan from Portsmouth.

The 25-year-old striker, who found the net in three of his seven appearances for Pompey, comes back to the Goldsands Stadium with Eddie Howe having replaced Paul Groves as manager, and Thomas feels the change has had a positive effect on the club. "There is a new manager in place, and you can definitely tell the mood and morale around the club has changed a bit." he told the Cherries' official website. "The team is on a good run of form at the moment and if we can keep ourselves on that run, I don't see why we can't be up there. It's about keeping the performances going and getting a couple more good results - then we will be up there. "I really enjoyed the month at Portsmouth but the gaffer wanted me back so hopefully I will be in his plans. I scored a few goals and I am confident that I can do that here."
