Derby boss expecting movement on transfer-listed players

Nigel Clough has confirmed there have been enquiries for James Bailey and expects movement on Derby County's transfer-listed players this week. The Derby boss put five members of his squad up for sale at the end of last season and has already seen striker Chris Maguire join Sheffield Wednesday. Winger Lee Croft is tipped to rejoin SPL side St Johnstone on loan, while Miles Addison is expected to return to League One club Bournemouth. Steve Davies has attracted interest from clubs in the Championship, while Barnsley have been linked with a move for Bailey. The former Crewe Alexandra midfielder has been mooted as a replacement for Jacob Butterfield and Clough is waiting to see how the initial interest develops.

Pretty close

"We would expect something to happen with all four in the next few weeks," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "I think with Miles we are close to getting something done with Bournemouth, hopefully this week, and Lee Croft will be going on loan somewhere, maybe initially until January. "Those two things are pretty close. We have had one or two calls about James Bailey but nothing firm at the moment, and that's the same with Steven Davies. "One or two Championship clubs have asked to be kept informed about him."
