Francis still eyeing play-offs

Bournemouth defender Simon Francis remains hopeful the Cherries can make the League One play-offs this season.

Bournemouth are currently 12 points outside the top six but Francis has vowed the Dean Court squad will not be throwing the towel in just yet. "We've still got half an eye on the play-offs," he said. "Next season is going to be massive for the club, both on and off the pitch, but there's no reason why we can't be looking at the play-offs this season. "We'll keep going for them until it's mathematically impossible to get there but it's important for the club, and for the fans, especially after the start to the season that we had to finish on a high. "A top-10 finish would be a good achievement after what's happened and that players coming and going. We can still keep an eye on the play-offs, though. "The way we finish this season is always going to be important going into next season so we want to finish well."
