Bournemouth midfielder Wes Fogden has admitted his surprise at the number of first-team opportunities afforded to him at Dean Court.
Fogden joined the Cherries from Havant & Waterlooville in October and has since gone on to represent the Dorset outfit 12 times so far this term.
The 23-year-old conceded he had not expected such a good run in the matchday squad, but he does not plan on giving up his place just yet.
"I was not expecting to get as many starts as I have had but I have been coming in and kept working hard and hopefully that will keep paying off," he said.
"It was tough for the first two or three weeks. Going from being part-time to full-time is a big step and all my fitness levels had to be stepped up.
"But after two or three weeks I was stronger and fitter in myself and I was able to push on from there."
