Wes Fogden believes new assistant boss Russ Wilcox's experience within the Football League will help Bournemouth this season.
Wilcox, who has previously coached at Burnley and Scunthorpe among other clubs, arrived in Dorset on an 18-month deal at the beginning of December after Steve Fletcher stood down from the role.
Midfielder Fogden said the 47-year-old has quickly integrated himself into the Bournemouth set-up, and that the players will benefit hugely from his knowledge of the game.
"He's settled in fine," he said. "He's really experienced as well which is great for the club and he's given everyone a lot of encouragement since he's come in.
"It's good to have another bit of advice when you need it and he's good to have around."
