Bournemouth have signed Steven Gregory from Football League newcomers AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Cherries.
"He played a big part in the promotion at AFC Wimbledon last season and they were really disappointed to lose him," said Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury.
"But it is the same as we have experienced - when teams from above come in for your players, it is always hard to keep them.
"They have had to let him go and we will benefit from it. I think if we do a bit of work with him, he will turn into a great player.
"I am excited to have him joining the squad and to see him playing in the Bournemouth colours. I think he is a Bournemouth player in the way he plays his football. He is tidy on the ball and athletic."
