Bournemouth youngster not losing sight of top spot

Bournemouth defender Joe Partington believes Brighton can still be caught, despite the League One leaders moving four points clear at the top. The Seagulls returned to winning ways with a 1-0 success at Yeovil on Tuesday and still have two games in hand over their closest rivals Bournemouth and Huddersfield. However, Wales Under 21 international Partington says that, despite their impressive campaign to date, nothing can be taken for granted in League One this season. "You see teams beating each other in this division almost every week, so as well as Brighton have done this year there is no reason why we can't catch them," Partington told skysports.com. "We will continue to do our thing and go into every game confident of coming away with three points and we'll see where it takes us." Having been held to consecutive draws at home by Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday, the 18-year-old insists that Saturday's win at struggling Dagenham & Redbridge was crucial. He added: "The past couple of games before the trip to Dagenham had felt like defeats to us and we felt that we had done enough to get more points out of both of them, especially at home. "Going to Dagenham is always going to be a tough game and luckily in the end we dug in and got the three points."
