Skysports.com understands that Bristol City are set to win the race to sign Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman.
Blackpool had been in pole position to land the 22-year-old, who has a terrific scoring record for the Cherries.
However, despite agreeing a fee they failed to conclude the deal after being unable to agree personal terms with Pitman.
Championship club Bristol City have now made their move and could usurp The Seasiders to the striker's services.
The Jersey-born marksman has scored 59 league goals in 173 appearances for the south coast outfit.
