Striker opts for move to Havant & Waterlooville

Teenage striker Steve Hutchings has rejected the chance to stay at Bournemouth in order to sign for Havant & Waterlooville. Hutchings has made just one substitute's appearance for the Cherries, but was offered a short-term deal to stay with the League One club. However, Cherries boss Eddie Howe has revealed the 19-year-old has decided to drop down into the non-league ranks to join Havant & Waterlooville. "I wish Steve all the best for the future and I hope he does well," Howe told the club's official website. "I am sorry to see him go, but he has done what he feels is best for his career." Meanwhile, former Bournemouth defender Karl Broadhurst, who has been training with the Cherries in pre-season, has joined Crawley Town.
