Defender opts against reunion with Quinn

Shrewsbury Town defender Darren Moss has turned down a loan move to League Two rivals Bournemouth. Moss has made just four first-team appearances for Shrewsbury this season and was offered a switch to Dean Court. The 27-year-old played under new Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn during his first stint with Shrewsbury. But current Shrews manager Paul Simpson has confirmed that Moss wants to stay at New Meadow to fight for his place. Simpson told the club's official website: "Bournemouth asked about taking Mossy on loan and as he hasn't been getting games recently I put the offer to him. "Mossy thought about the move, but has decided that he would rather stay with us and fight for his place. "Its good news for us as Mossy is a decent player and as has been highlighted over previous weeks we need a good strong squad to continue our recent good form."
