Bournemouth are hoping to bring Steve Lovell back to the club from Aberdeen.

Lovell is out of contract at Pittodrie and has been offered the chance to rejoin his first club on a free transfer.

Cherries manager Kevin Bond has confirmed that he is keen to bring the 27-year-old back to the South Coast.

"I worked with Steve at Portsmouth and believe he would improve us," said Bond in the Daily Record.

Gaffer's great

Meanwhile, Josh Gowling is weighing up his Bournemouth future after receiving offers from two other clubs.

The defender is out of contract at Dean Court and is likely to make a decision when he returns from holiday.

"I've been away with my girlfriend and had one offer before I left and one since I've been back," Gowling told the Daily Echo.

"I'll have a good look through it when I come back from France and then decide what's best for me.

"I love it here and the gaffer has been great with me. He has said he will do everything in his power to keep me and that was nice to hear."
