Jalal agrees to return to non-league ranks

Peterborough United have agreed to sell goalkeeper Shwan Jalal to non-league club Torquay United. Jalal was put on the transfer list at London Road at the end of the season following Peterborough's promotion to League One. He has made just 11 first-team appearances for Posh since joining from Woking 18 months ago and finished the last campaign on loan at Morecambe. The 24-year-old appears keen to link up with Torquay and is expected to finalise his move to the Blue Square Premier side later this month. Posh director of football Barry Fry told the Evening Telegraph: "Shwan is very keen to go to Torquay who have already made several signings since the end of the season. "It is a great opportunity for Shwan to get his career back on track and I know he is keen to get his place back in the England non-league team as well. "Shwan had a couple of little runs in the side here, but the manager preferred the experience of Mark Tyler in the end, although no-one can say Shwan let us down at all."
