Barnsley are reportedly preparing a £100,000 raid for Bournemouth's James Hayter.
Barnsley are reportedly preparing a £100,000 swoop for Bournemouth's James Hayter.
The Tykes recently missed out on Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd, and reports now suggest that manager Andy Ritchie has switched his attentions to Hayter.
The Cherries marksman will be out of contract during the summer and his club are keen to cash in before he is allowed to leave on a free transfer.
QPR, Plymouth and Bristol City are also thought to be in the frame, although Hayter says the speculation will not affect his performances at Dean Court.
"In a way, I just try not to even think about it," he told the Daily Echo. "It's out of my hands and I can't do anything about it.
"I've got my job to do. I'm paid by Bournemouth to do my job and I'll be doing that to the best of my ability until I'm told otherwise."
