Neil Young has become the first Bournemouth player to pledge his future to the club.

Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll offered new contracts to ten members of his squad at the start of the week.

He is waiting for all the responses but will be buoyed by the long-serving Young's decision to stay at Dean Court.

Young has accepted the 12-month deal put to him and it will enable him to take his Bournemouth career into an 11th year.

The 31-year-old full back joined The Cherries from Tottenham a decade ago and he will have a testimonial against Charlton Athletic in the summer.
