Stockport County have completed the signing of striker Warren Feeney from League One rivals Bournemouth.

The Northern Ireland international has put pen to paper on a two-year contract at Edgeley Park - though his move will be subject to a tribunal after both sides failed to agree a transfer fee for the player.

Despite being out of contract, Feeney cannot leave The Cherries on a Bosman free as he is under 24 years of age.

The 23-year-old, meanwhile, was pleased to make his move north to The Hatters after agreeing to join the club last month.

"I'm just glad I'm up here. It's gone on for a long time and I think both parties know that, so it's always on your mind what's going on," Feeney told Stockport's official website.

"But as I say, hopefully, everything is done and dusted and the clubs can agree on a fee, so I can concentrate on my football."
