Bournemouth have extended Lewis Buxton's loan for another month subject to Premier League clearance.

Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll (pictured) brought in the young Portsmouth defender during October, and he will now remain until late in December.

Buxton will be available for the club's weekend FA Cup clash against Accrington Stanley, while his last game, should the deal not be extended further, could be against Bristol City on December 28.

During his time at Dean Court, the 19-year-old has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Second Division.

O'Driscoll will be pleased to have secured the services of the Welsh stopper, with his side currently challenging for a promotion position this term.
