MARCUS BROWNING has done enough during his brief spell at Dean Court to earn a three-year contract with Bournemouth.

The Welsh midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements at Gillingham and signed a short-term deal at the start of the season.

His two substitute appearances persuaded Cherries boss Sean O`Driscoll to turn his stay into a permanent one.

Browning had little hesitation in signing the long-term deal and will now set his sights on a place in the starting XI.

Former Norwich striker Danny Bloomfield has also impressed O`Driscoll and earned a one-year contract after initially penning a short-term deal.
