Russell Slade could not have asked for more from his Leyton Orient side after a 1-0 win at Coventry couldn't keep their play-off hopes alive.
Slade could only name four substitutes due to injuries, but Dean Cox scored the only goal of the game in first-half stoppage time as his side produced a defiant display. Coventry dominated possession throughout, but could not find a way through and Slade was delighted with the effort his players put in. "I'm really proud," Slade said. "I was choked with the effort. They couldn't have done any more. "In the second half, to be fair to Coventry, they pressed us more than in the first half and we were struggling to get out of out own half at times, but we were blocking, we were defending manfully. "The bench was very slim so I didn't have many options from that point of view and couldn't help them so I'm delighted with what they achieved. "We were a little bit careless in the second half when we had one or two moments, but there is no criticism of anybody out there, they gave their lot for the cause. "We wanted to take it to the last day of the season, we haven't quite done that, but to be seventh is still something to be proud of."
