Jones to boost Orient squad

Leyton Orient have received a major boost after goalkeeper Jamie Jones made his long-awaited comeback for the reserves.

The highly-rated 22-year-old has missed the entire season so far after suffering a shoulder injury which required surgery over the summer. But he returned to action against West Ham's development squad and kept a clean sheet as Orient's second string beat their east London neighbours 3-0. Jones could now challenge Lee Butcher for the gloves when Orient host Chesterfield at the weekend. There was also good news at the other end of the field as Jamie Cureton followed up his first goal for the club in the 4-1 defeat at Carlisle on Saturday by scoring twice. Defender Ben Chorley grabbed the other goal from the penalty spot.
