Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade expects crocked winger Dean Cox to miss out until the new year.
The 24-year-old, who tops the Os' goalscoring charts with seven goals, strained medial knee ligaments in the FA Cup win over Bromley back on November 12.
It was originally thought Cox would be out for a month, but Slade does not expect him to return before January.
"It has been slower than we thought. He has had an injection and that has helped it a little bit," he told the Epping Forest Guardian.
"We are hoping he will start making a little bit more progress. It has been painful for him because he has been bouncing off the walls.
"He likes to be playing, he likes to be doing things. He will be itching to get back."
