Slade hails Butcher performance

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade admits goalkeeper Lee Butcher grabbed his chance with both hands in Saturday's win.

Butcher is back in the Orient side after loanee Ben Alnwick returned to Tottenham while regular number one Jamie Jones remains sidelined with a shoulder injury. And the 23-year-old made his mark by saving an injury-time Jeff Hughes penalty to earn his side all three points against Notts County. "The last five minutes were horrible for me on the bench, especially when they got the penalty," said Slade. "But Lee Butcher has made an excellent save and I'm really proud and pleased he is repaying the faith we showed in him."
