Porter potential excites Slade

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade feels he has a potential star on his hands in George Porter.

Teenage winger Porter helped set up Dean Cox for the opening goal as Orient stretched their unbeaten streak to eight matches in a 1-1 draw with Hartlepool on Saturday. "Our game plan was to try and get the ball to him as much as possible, he's quite strong and in one-on-one situations he can be a real threat. And so it proved," said Slade. "It was a fantastically well-worked goal. He and David Mooney have linked up well on a one-two and then he's squared the ball across the box for Cox to finish."
