Keeper arrives from Spurs

Leyton Orient have snapped up former Tottenham goalkeeper Lee Butcher on a one-year deal. The 21-year-old ends a stint of three years at White Hart Lane and will provide Jamie Jones with competition for the O's number one spot. Butcher was on loan at Brisbane Road for a month last season, providing cover when Jones was sidelined with a head injury, but failed to make an appearance from the substitute's bench. "I'm really pleased to have signed for Leyton Orient and I'm looking forward to the opportunity here," Butcher told the club's official website. "I'm going to try and push Jamie, try to get into the first team and make a name for myself." Butcher is the third player to join Orient this month following the arrivals of Alex Revell and George Porter.
