Luke Guttridge is set for a swift return to the Championship, skysports.com can confirm.
The exciting midfielder is out of contract at Leyton Orient and looks ready to move on from Brisbane Road.
Orient are desperate to keep the 25-year-old and have made him a big offer, after he played a major role in helping The O's maintain their League One status.
However, a host of clubs including Premiership relegation candidates Charlton are ready to make a swoop.
"There is a great deal of interest in Luke and a number of clubs are looking at him," his representative Richard Cody confirmed to skysports.com.
"The Championship is at the very least where Luke belongs and it is almost certain that is where he will be going."
Cody paid tribute to Orient, who are keen for Guttridge to stay.
"This is in no way showing disrespect to Orient, Luke loves it there," added Cody.
"They have made him a very good offer, but at Luke's age he wants to be playing higher than League One ideally.
"It is the first time since he was very young that he has been free of a contract and so he is keeping his options open."
