Motherwell boss Terry Butcher fears he may miss out on two of his transfer targets.
Butcher had targeted Craig Easton and Patrick McCourt as prospective new signings, but he is now resigned to neither player arriving at Fir Park.
Leyton Orient are thought to be close to signing former Livingston midfielder Easton, while McCourt may stay at Shamrock Rovers much to the disappointment of Butcher.
"Craig Easton looks as though he will sign for Leyton Orient and according to the papers McCourt is going to stay at Shamrock Rovers," bemoaned Butcher.
"I'd like to bring him here as he is an excellent player, but we'll see."
