Brighton winger Kazenga LuaLua faces a spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.
The 23-year-old limped off during the first half of Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Fulham.
Seagulls manager Sami Hyypia told the club website: "Kazenga has damaged a ligament in his knee, so he will be out for a few weeks now.
"It's not an ideal situation, but it happens in football and you can't predict when these things will happen.
"He has the ability to hurt teams one-on-one, and maybe one-on-two as well. He has done well this season, so losing a player like him is not nice."
Meanwhile, skipper Gordon Greer is doubtful for Saturday's trip to leaders Derby after missing the Fulham match with a knee problem.
