Rovers and Forest try to preserve only unbeaten records

Blackburn Rovers will be hoping to build on a promising start to life back in the Championship as Peterborough United continue their search for a first point of the season. There is likely to be a tasty Yorkshire derby at Elland Road, an intriguing tussle at Bloomfield Road and a meeting between two recent Premier League clubs at St Andrew's. A thrilling 5-3 win at Bristol City at the weekend lifted Blackburn to the top of the early standings and Steve Kean's side put a 100 per cent home record on the line when Barnsley, who have lost both away games, visit Ewood Park. It will be a similar match-up on the Lancashire coast as Blackpool, who are two from two on home soil, entertain a Middlesbrough side without a point from their two away games. Bolton Wanderers are another team to have lost both away fixtures and Owen Coyle takes his troops to Birmingham City, who are currently in the bottom three. Hull City have yet to score in two games on their travels and head to Leeds United, with the corresponding meeting last season seeing the hosts run out 4-1 winners. Nottingham Forest are the only other team in the division to still be unbeaten and, after two away draws to date, Sean O'Driscoll's side hit the capital to tackle Crystal Palace. Something will have to give at London Road as Peterborough, who have lost all five fixtures, play host to a Bristol City outfit without a goal and a point on their travels this season. Ex-Chelsea team-mates Gianfranco Zola and Gus Poyet will be sparring as managers at Vicarage Road as the former's Watford welcome the latter's Brighton & Hove Albion. Cardiff City have been impressive at home and will look to replicate that form away from South Wales when Malky Mackay's side go to Millwall. Derby County have scored seven goals in two home games so far, but sit 20th in the table ahead of playing 21st-placed Charlton Athletic at Pride Park.
