Roland Bergkamp: Scored eight goals in 56 appearances for Excelsior before moving to the AMEX Stadium
Brighton & Hove Albion striker Roland Bergkamp has returned to Holland after joining VVV-Venlo on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old forward, the nephew of Arsenal legend Dennis, is yet to make his first-team debut for the Seagulls.
After allowing Bergkamp to make the move, Albion boss Gus Poyet recognised the need for the youngster to be playing matches.
Poyet told the club's official website: "Roland is a great lad and a good professional but things haven't worked out quite as we hoped.
"At his age and at this stage in his career he needs to be playing regular senior football and this is a good opportunity for him."
Bergkamp scored eight goals in 56 appearances for Excelsior before moving to the AMEX Stadium in July 2011.
He spent six weeks on loan with League One side Rochdale last season, making three appearances.
