League One Outfit Bournemouth have signed Steve Cook on a permanent deal from Brighton for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder, who made nine appearances for the Cherries after arriving on loan at Dean Court in October, joins on a three-and-a-half-year contract. Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury told the club's official website: "I think since he's come into the team he's been fantastic. "He's a ball-playing centre-half, he's quick, can defend and is a good footballer as well. "I think Steve will be a Championship player and hopefully that will be with us. He's striving towards that and we're building for the future." Cook, 20, recently returned to Brighton and featured in Monday's npower Championship win over leaders Southampton.
